Das Rane Serato Pressings J Dilla Donut Shop Control Vinyl Set hat seinen Namen dem berühmten und sehr erfolgreichen Hip Hop Musik Produzenten, James Dewitt Yancey, zu verdanken. Unter seinem Künstlernamen, J Dilla, veröffentlichte er kurz vor seinem Ableben sein letztes Soloalbum „Donuts“.

Das J Dilla Donut Shop Vinyl Pack besteht aus zwei Control Vinyls. Die Tracks wurden von J. Rocc ausgewählt. Die J Dilla Instrumentals sowie drei weitere Instrumentals aus Produktionen für Mos Def, Q-Tip und Bustha Rhymes waren bis dato unveröffentlicht.

Die B-Seite beinhaltet den lizensierten Serato NoiseMap Control Ton zur Steuerung von Serato Scratch Live. Auf jeder Vinylrückseite befindet sich, wie üblich bei Serato Pressings, das Serato Scratch Live Control Signal – Timecode.
